Proposal for a PROUN street celebration is a 1923 painting by Russian Constructivist El Lissitzky, designed as a visual plan for a public art festival using his PROUN series of abstract works.

The work is held at the Russian State Archive for Literature and Art (RGALI) in Moscow, where it was preserved as part of the Soviet avant-garde collection.

Painted in 1923 when Lissitzky was 32, the work predates his major collaborations with Theo van Doesburg at the Bauhaus by less than a year and represents the height of his Suprematist-Constructivist period.

Lissitzky saw PROUNs not just as paintings but as designs that could be reproduced, scaled, and used in everyday life - a vision that prefigured modernist graphic design and architectural abstraction.
